Cooler weather has finally hit Florida which means the holiday season is inching ever closer. If you’re like me, you’ve already begun to make your gift lists. While you are thinking about what to get your family and friends, I encourage you to take a moment and think about what you can give to your community.
Here in the Orlando area, Heart of Florida United Way is seeing a record level of need for health and social services. Feel compelled to help? Consider attending the first-ever Benefit Sale at Downtown Disney on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 5:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. All you have to do to participate is simply purchase a $5 voucher. Proceeds from the sale of event vouchers go directly to Heart of Florida United Way and the more than 30 participating United Way partner agencies to help fund health and social service programs.
What’s in it for you besides feeling good about giving back? There will be discounts of up to 50 to 75 percent off select merchandise at many of the participating Downtown Disney locations.
