On June 9th 2007, Crush's Coaster, inspired by Disney.Pixar's "Finding Nemo", opened its doors in Walt Disney Studios Park and quickly became one of our guests favorite attractions! Take a peek backstage to see how Disney Imagineers created this undersea adventure in approximately 18 months.

Here is the fourth video from the “Did You Know?” series.  In this series, cast members share “fast facts” about various aspects of the Disneyland Resort – this time about the environmental way in which Disney drained Paradise Bay at Disney California Adventure park in preparation for “World of Color.” More than 60 years ago, Walt Disney expressed his commitment to the conservation of natural resources and that commitment holds true today.

Brand new menu at Village Haus!

Since 1983, the Village Haus Restaurant at Disneyland park has been a great place to grab a bite surrounded by the fun and whimsy of Fantasyland. Recently, the location reopened with a spiffy new look. Today the update will be complete as the Village Haus debuts a new menu.

The menu features many fast-casual options that guests have enjoyed over the years including hamburgers or cheeseburgers with french fries or a healthy side, and pepperoni or cheese pizzas. With a playful nod to the uniquely European flavor of the restaurant, many new and reimagined items have been added as well.

Chicken Sausage
Topped with sauerkraut served in a pretzel roll

Angus ⅓ lb. Pastrami Cheeseburger
Angus chuck burger, pastrami, pickles, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, lettuce and a creamy horseradish sauce

BLT Flat Bread Pizza
Thin flat bread crust, cherrywood-smoked bacon, provolone and mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions, marinated tomatoes and arugula-fennel salad

And for dessert, and the Village Haus is offering a perfect way to top off your visit with either a Black Forest Cupcake or Warm Apple Strudel.

Kids ages 3-9 have their own menu choosing from a hamburger, pizza or macaroni and cheese, all served with sliced apples and a choice of a small low-fat milk, Minute-Maid juice or small Dasani water. There is definitely something for everyone as toddlers under age 3 can choose “Yummy Cheesy Macaroni” served with smooth applesauce and a small low-fat milk.

Sneak Peek at Wild Africa Trek, Disney's Animal Kingdom

As I am sure you know Disney  is now offering an ultimate animal adventure at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The "Wild Africa Trek" which will be an exclusive tour where "explorers will be crossing rope bridges above crocodile-filled waters and venturing on VIP safaris" across Animal Kingdom's open savanna. So how many of you would want to take part in this?

The Disney Dream....

“Now that the Disney Dream has arrived in Florida, when do we get to see what she looks like inside?”

Here’s a peek at Royal Palace taken while the ship was on her way to Port Canaveral. The beautifully decorated restaurant is right off the atrium lobby on Deck 3.

The dining room is filled with fairy tale details like chandeliers decorated with glass slippers and repeating motifs such as Princess Aurora’s tiara from “Sleeping Beauty” and the enchanted rose from “Beauty and the Beast.”

I spent more than 10 days aboard the Disney Dream as the ship crossed the Atlantic and I’m still amazed at her beauty and the attention to detail lavished everywhere by Walt Disney Imagineering. Here’s a small sample of what Disney Cruise Line guests will find when they step aboard.

Today’s sneak peeks include a wide view of the Art Deco atrium lobby on Deck 3, the first area guests will see when they board. Next, left to right, are Andy’s Room and Monster’s Academy, two wonderfully fun spaces for kids inside Disney’s Oceaneer Club that were inspired by the classic Disney∙Pixar films “Toy Story” and “Monsters, Inc.” And finally, here’s a glimpse of the Rainforest area within the Senses Spa & Salon for adults.

Let me pause here for a public service announcement: Make sure you bring plenty of memory cards for your camera! And batteries! You won’t want to miss a single shot.

Later this week the Disney Dream will host a traditional “plaque and key” ceremony commemorating her first stop at Port Canaveral. Afterward she’ll sail the first of a few preview cruises that will help crew members prepare for the ship’s gala maiden voyage on January 26th.
